Hello from a gray and rainy Walt Disney World! With Hurricane Elsa coming to the area tonight, the weather wasn’t too intense today, but it was still cloudy and wet enough to keep the crowd lower than normal. We started our day at EPCOT and we found some things to show you, so let’s get started!
When we arrived this morning, we were surprised that the now familiar cargo space at the toll booth was released at least 15 minutes earlier and that the guests, who are normally allowed to move freely up to the Tapstilen, were smuggled through an entrance to safety and stopped some there Minutes. From then on, however, it went on as usual.
In the park we found a new guide card on which the outdated safety guidelines had been removed from the back, as well as other updates in it. You can find more pictures and information in our article here.
We found the structural walls removed from under spaceship Earth, which housed the crane that was used to install the light points. A few lamps are still missing here and there in the already installed network of lamps, so we will keep a close eye on further developments.
A large crane has been moved to the Journey Of Water construction site, which will hopefully signal progress in this area soon. You can find more pictures and information in our article here.
When the flower and garden festival was officially over, we saw changes to festival-specific offers throughout the park. The largest topiary displays have already been removed, including the one at the entrance to the park, and the butterfly garden has been surrounded with scrim fabric.
The landscaped seating area next to the Travelers Cafe was also surrounded by scrim fabric.
The seating area in the courtyard garden opposite the test track was surrounded by rolling planters.
In the World Showcase, work on replacing the flooring in The Fjording will continue. Only a quarter of the floor needs to be replaced and is currently filled with lacquered plywood as a placeholder. The goods displays traditionally set up in these corners were removed during this transition period and replaced by clothes racks that were easier to move.
After the Morocco Pavilion fully reopened after its renovation, we found the Race Against The Sun exhibition open again. We also noticed that the items in the showcases inside had been returned as some of them were removed during the closure, presumably for security reasons.
Without a festival at EPCOT, guests will undoubtedly be looking for alternative dining options, so we’re excited to announce that Eats at The EPCOT Experience has reopened. They reopened with a baseline of ice cream, popcorn, and flatbread, but their location makes them the perfect stop to grab a snack and cool off for a minute.
With the International Food & Wine Festival less than two weeks away, we found that many of the food stalls had already started changing over to their new look. Most food stands now have the names of the Food & Wine stand with a “Coming Soon” banner above it.
After checking out EPCOT, we made our way to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where we found another new travel guide card. The biggest change for this new edition is the removal of the outdated security guidelines on the back and the front cover with an unmasked person, the first such feature since the use of masked photos.
We were excited to test all of the new foods in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. For more pictures and information, including our full review, check out our article here.
We found a couple of merchandise today starting with these new activity books we found on The Darkroom for $ 19.99 each.
We finally found this Buzz Lightyear teenage shirt over at Mickey’s of Hollywood for $ 19.99.
We had a wonderful time at Walt Disney World and hope you enjoyed coming with us. Have a magical day!
