POW! Entertainment Inc. must be allowed to intervene in a Los Angeles lawsuit between comic book artist Stan Lee’s daughter and Stan Lee Entertainment Inc., a state appeals court said Tuesday.
SLE sued the Lee Family Survivor’s Trust in 2019 to force the trust to defend SLE’s intellectual property rights, which Lee had assigned to SLE’s predecessor in a 1998 agreement.
In early 2020, the parties agreed to a settled judgment, stating that SLE owns the intellectual property rights at issue and that the Trust will defend those rights.
