A well-known restaurant in Tulsa that has closed for the summer reopens on Tuesday, but only for the holidays.
The Three Sirens Restaurant Group owns the Celebrity Restaurant. Owner Johnna Hayes says they wanted to make a special comeback so people can continue their traditions.
They’ve been closed for a little over three months now, but the restaurant will once again be a place for reunion, good food, and more memories.
“So we’re really doing a look back at what it was a few years ago so everyone can enjoy this holiday season,” said Hayes.
As soon as you step into the Celebrity Restaurant, it’s like stepping into a winter wonderland.
Ornaments fill the ceiling, the walls are lined with lights, and tinsel is everywhere.
Hayes says the original owners always made sure the holiday season was special.
“Really decorate everything. Some people can’t do that in their house, they don’t have time,” said Hayes.
The restaurant closed in July due to staff and product issues.
But for the next two months, guests can come back for food, music and lots of Christmas cheer.
Hayes says the staff at her other restaurants will work double and former waiters who have worked there for years are returning.
“So everyone is doing a lot of overtime and extra work to make this possible for everyone,” said Hayes.
She says it’s a work of love.
They’re bringing back their classic menu, including Caesar salad at the table, fried chicken, steak, and specialty cocktails like Brandi Ice’s.
You’ll even hear live music from the pianist who performed there for decades.
“So that’s the best feeling. To hear the blender making all of the Brandi Ice’s, Mark Anthony making the salads, I mean there is just a great energy and you can kind of feel the historical significance of this restaurant.”
She says this will be Celebrity’s last holiday season for now.
“I hope people come with the ones they always have and then I hope they bring someone with them who can experience it,” said Hayes.

Hundreds are already booked every night in December, but they still have open reservations for that month.
Until December, the Celebrity Restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
