Yorkshire vet Peter Wright was spotted on the Great Yorkshire Show this week and fans were dying to meet him.
But the popular TV vet is incredibly humble because he believes he is not a celebrity but simply sees himself as a veterinarian.
He has previously spoken about his fans’ loyalty and how he loves to see them.

When he was filming for Channel 5’s “Today at the Great Yorkshire Show” on the Great Yorkshire Show, fans loved to take a look and say hello.
Speaking of his day on the show, he told Yorkshire Live, “You keep getting people coming to you and that flatters me because I don’t and will never consider myself a celebrity.

“I’m a vet, not a celebrity, and if these people want to come and meet me, it’s great for me and I’m more than happy to spend my time with them and meet fans.

“I can’t look around much because people come up to me, but it’s so nice to see my fans.”
He added, “They are very loyal fans and I think during the lockdown, programs like the Yorkshire Vet have been a great comfort in getting back to nature and animals.
“The audience numbers are great and our fans are very loyal. If we didn’t get the views, Channel 5 wouldn’t want us, it’s that simple.”
Peter also recalled his time with James Alfred Wight, better known by his pen name James Herriot, and said, “I’ve learned a lot about caring for clients and patients.
“You can only do your best and if you do your best you can’t blame yourself or anyone else and I think that goes for everyone.”
Series 13 will air this fall and Peter will soon be moving to Grace Lane Vets, Kirkbymoorside, in the North York Moors, where he can continue to treat farm animals.
Good news for fans is that he will continue to appear on the show alongside co-star Julian Norton.
