A woman apologized after copying the product of well-known social media celebrity chef and guru Khairulaming, reported Sinar Harian.
Masturaaliyah made the confession by posting on Twitter, admitting her wrongdoing and promising not to repeat it.
“Recently there has been controversy over the sale of non-authentic Sambal Nyet. It is not made by Khairulaming, it is made by me,” she said.
“So I really want to apologize to the real owner of Sambal Nyet, Khairulming, and to those who have been victims of the inauthentic product, including those who misunderstood the real Sambal Nyet,” she said.
On February 3rd, the 29-year-old social media personality, whose real name is Khairul Amin Kamarulzaman, launched his special blend of chili paste, Sambal Nyet. 10,000 bottles were sold in less than an hour.
On Wednesday, Khairul Amin filed a police report and took legal action against the woman for having irresponsible parties who copied and sold poor quality products bearing his name and logo.
After the woman was posted on social media, Khairul Amin said his party had called for redress, an overt public apology that was taped, and admitting guilt as a token of Masturaaliyah’s apology.
